Terms and Conditions

Deposits are 30% (minimum £50) of the total bill and is paid on confirmation of the booking. This is non-refundable / non-transferable and will be deducted from the final bill.

Cancellations within 14 days of the stay will incur the full charge of the kennel for the full period of the booking.

Whilst every possible care is given to each dog boarding, dogs are left entirely at the owners risk.

We will only accept dogs who have been given the Kennel Cough vaccine at least 2 weeks prior to boarding and whose boosters are up to date. Proof is required by way of a vaccination card.

Any current medical problems / medication must be communicated to Farm Cottage Boarding at the time of booking and an update provided when the dog is dropped off. An additional charge may be made for the administration of medication.

We reserve the right to refuse any booking where the dog shows sign of illness or distress.

We reserve the right to refuse any booking where the dog shows aggression to staff.

Should your dog require veterinary treatment during its stay, then at the discretion of Farm Cottage Boarding we will call on the services of our nominated practice, namely Pennine Vets in Harwood. Under normal circumstances this will usually be done following contact with the owner where that is possible.

Any veterinary fees incurred while a dog is in our care will be the responsibility of the owner.

Only dogs from the same household can share a kennel. We reserve the right, for any dogs which are showing aggression to be separated and placed in individual kennels. This will result in an additional cost.

Farm Cottage Boarding is a small kennels and therefore we will charge the full amount even if you decide to collect your dog earlier than planned.

We are more than happy to accept your dogs personal items during its stay, however, we ask that these are restricted to 3 or 4 items at most. We will endeavour to wash and dry any bedding ready for collection but cannot be held responsible for loss or destruction of any such effects.

Any dog not collected on the agreed date and in the absence of any contact from the owner will be rehoused within 7 days of its final booking date.

No dog registered under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 will be accepted for boarding. Any hybrids will be checked with the Police Legislation Officer.

We are happy to accept bookings for un-neutered dogs and un-spayed bitches, however if you believe your dog is due in season during her board you must inform us. Please be aware that we will make every effort to protect your un-spayed bitch from unwanted male attention, but cannot be held responsible for any accidents that may occur and may result in an unwanted pregnancy.

Farm Cottage Boarding understands its obligations under the Data Protection Act and will only retain personal details in a secure location for as long as our licence requirements dictate.
